Compact under-the-counter ice makers are 13-15 in wide and consume about 75 WWatt ACAlternating current. (See ElectricalCapacityAC). U•line makes a series of compact marine ice makers. Other makers are Avanti, GE, Marvel Industries, the well regarded Scotsman, and Whirlpool.
An ice maker uses an electric motor and need to be hooked-up to a water valve, plumbing line, and electrical circuit. An ice maker is an energy hog that can consume 84 kWhKiloWatt hour because of the constant need to heat the mechanism so it doesn't freeze.
